Mountain Scrambling

Get hands-on mountain scrambling…. The view from the top will take your breath away.

Throughout the process of making my enquiry, booking and then doing 2 activity days for our family of 7 Stu, Bryan and the team were excellent.
Friendly and communicative at all times and coped with very changeable weather. We all felt safe in their hands and will be using them the next time we go to The Lakes.

Sean

Had an amazing time and Alex was brilliant, especially with my youngest son. Fab experience!

“Mountain Scrambling is a brilliant journey up a challenging mountain. As a half-day activity, we choose an accessible graded scramble to suit you and your group.”

We just love being in the mountains and scrambling is an awesome way to gain height while enjoying being in such a beautiful place. It’s a fantastic group activity and is accessible to everyone.

There are so many brilliant scrambling routes in the Lakes that we can introduce you to. This is a half-day session page. We also offer mountain scrambling as a full day session that allows you to go higher and further.

Alternatively, we offer mountain scrambling courses and guiding for more technical training and coaching.

Scrambling is such a fun, flexible activity. Even the smallest child can have a go and be challenged. We set the level of the scrambling to suit your group. This session can run as a beginner half-day session (choose level 1 at booking) and within that, we can vary the challenge level as we scramble up the mountain by simply avoiding or including different rocky steps. Alternatively, for a more challenging venue, choose level 2 at booking.

If you are after a longer and higher scramble, please have a look at our adventure full-day mountain scrambling page.

We also offer mountain scrambling courses and guiding for more technical training and coaching.

The best venues in the Lake District are in Langdale near Ambleside, Coniston or in Borrowdale near Keswick.

If booking a half-day mountain scrambling session we will meet at the Brittania Inn in Elterwater, Langdale.

If you are booking Mountain scrambling in the morning and Stickle Ghyll, Church Beck or Abseiling for the afternoon, meet as above.

If you are booking an all-day Mountain scrambling and Stoney Croft ghyll scrambling or Stoney Croft canyoning we will meet you in Borrowdale.

We will send you directions on a PDF at point of booking.

Half-day sessions run as follows:
Morning 9:30 am to 12:30 pm – Afternoon 1:30 pm to 4:30pm. That’s three full hours of activity.

Full-day sessions run as follow:

We realise how valuable your time is and this reflects in our attention to giving you a full session. We always get to the meeting venue early arrange our kit and make sure we are ready to go. This enables us to optimise the contact time with you, giving you real value for money and attention to your experience.

Half-day activities are really fun and do combine very well with other activities. E.g. many people book rock climbing or abseiling in the morning and ghyll scrambling or canyoning in the afternoon.
